All of the Color the Wind guest kite fliers work really hard to put on a great show. Among them is Jeff Hale from Wisconsin. Jeff recently purchased 32 rainbow feather banners and wanted to put all of them up for Color the Wind. He was out on the lake at the crack of dawn, working before the rest of us were out there!
However, it was SO cold out on the ice, that the batteries in his ice drill went dead. He managed to put up 24 of the 32 banners. This is more than we've ever had on display and it made quite a show!

Another really hard-working kiter is Mike Gee from Jamestown, ND. Mike is an expert in getting multiple Crown Bols to stay up while attached to the same tow point. He is SO expert, that the other kiters simply toss their Bols to him when they arrive on the ice and he automatically sets them up!
The most we've been able to put together at one time at Color the Wind so far is four. Next year, we'll see if Mike can get five going!
