"Wings on Strings"- an annual kitefest -was held in Jamestown,ND in June of this year. This festival is hosted by Mike Gee and the Jamestown Parks & Rec department. They have a great flying field and their hospitality was top-notch!
Tony & Ann Killip are shown here proudly displaying their brand new 90' Octopus which was just one of several new kites flying in Jamestown.

In the past, we've seen all kinds of sealife and animals in the sky, but never "creepy crawlers"! This is Dave Gombergs new mid-sized caterpiller (46') flown by Al Sparling.

We acquired Peter Panda last year at the Jamestown festival. Here he is again, dancing on top of the clouds. Hmmmmm.......I wonder how high Larry was when he took this picture! We always have a great time in Jamestown, but Larry had to travel alone from Iowa this year since I was still recuperating from spinal surgery done in May. We're looking forward to next year's festival, though, when we both can be there to fly!

Larry just recently added a new custom Sutton 252 to his collection along with a matching tail. He selected the colors of red, yellow and black which positively "glow" in the sun! The rainbow Sutton and the red, white and blue Sutton as well as our "mega" manta ray (Raymond) were all in the air at Jamestown. Oh, by the way, our "minnow" can be seen just behind Raymond!

Double the fun! Al Sparling no longer flies the big black octopus you're used to seeing. He now has a more colorful one seen here with Ann and Tony's mega-tentacled sea creature! Does a pair constitute an "octi-pile"?

Our rainbow banners always add an air of festivity to any event! This year, they've been displayed at a garden social in Clear Lake, on our church lawn on Sunday morning, at a wedding, an 80th birthday celebration, real estate open houses and a number of kite festivals. Our new patriotic banners didn't arrive in time to display them at Jamestown, but you'll see photos of them soon!
